It was exhilarating to witness the presentation of the new album “Unfiltered” by the Swiss Blues Award winner in Erlenbach, near the house where Tina Turner lived until her death. Lili Martin performed live, sharing the most interesting details from her career, including previously unreleased songs and some classics, while looking beyond the musical horizon of blues, just like the great Tina once did. A native New Yorker who now resides in Switzerland, she is among the most distinctive voices and charismatic artists in the current global blues and soul scene. Her warm and unique performance was filled with authentic passion, narrating compelling stories accompanied by a phenomenal quartet. Lili enchanted me and made the eve of the holiday even more festive.
